Tik Tok Banned:Government bans 59 Chines apps including uc browser, shareit and we chat
The Indian government has decided to ban 59 apps including TikTok. These apps include Shareit, UC Browser and WeChat. It is worth noting that all the apps banned by the central government are made by Chinese companies. The government has said in its order that these apps pose a threat to India's sovereignty and unity. In this case, it has been decided.

Now you will also have a question in your mind that what are those 59 apps? Let us know that these Chinese apps banned by the government are not just in the entertainment category. These include chat apps, tool apps, and some games as well. At the moment, it is difficult to understand on what basis the government selected these apps.
According to the press release of the Ministry of Electronics and IT, the ministry has banned these apps under the provisions of section 69 of the IT Act and the provision of IT Rules 2008. This decision has been taken considering these apps as a threat to India's sovereignty, unity, security and public order.
If you look at these 59 apps, then it is clear that these are all Chinese apps. In addition to TikTok, this list includes Shein, an online fashion retailer, transfer and file managing share and ES file explorer apps, social media apps like Helo and Likee, and popular browser apps like UC Browser. All these apps have been banned.
Shockingly, some of these companies have also donated large sums to the PM Cares Fund to fight the Covid 19 pandemic. Take the TikTok itself. This company has donated 300 million. At the same time, Xiaomi has contributed 100 million, while two apps of this platform have been banned.
At the moment, it is not clear how the government's decision will be implemented. Will these 59 apps be removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play? What will happen to users whose phones already have these apps installed? Or these apps will be banned from server access.
TikTok has already been banned in India. It was lifted from both platforms following a High Court decision. However, the ban was later lifted.
The decision to ban these apps is being seen these days by linking the deadlock between India and China on the border of Ladakh. These days anti-China sentiments are also on the rise. A company like Oppo had to cancel the launch event of one of its phones due to this.
But it is clear that once these popular Chinese apps are banned, it is like getting the key of the treasure for selected Indian apps. Now take the Mitron and Chingari apps launched in response to TicketLock. The popularity of these platforms is set to grow rapidly.
